From mid-July to mid-August we target pink salmon, chum salmon and Dolly Varden trout. Our week long fishing package consists of two days of guided fishing, transportation on guided days, meals on the guided days and six nights accommodations. The week begins with two guided fishing days to help guests familiarize themselves with the area and fishing techniques. The remainder of the week is open for guests to continue with self-directed days, exploring and sightseeing on their own. Additional guided days can be arranged. Fishing is done by wading the saltwater bays and river systems. We book a maximum of four guests per week or a single group of up to five.
Fishing is accessed along the Kodiak road system. Our comfortable, private in-town accommodations, consists of a two bedroom unit with full kitchen. Each bedroom contains two single beds with private bath. We can also equip you with the appropriate rods and reels. We supply all of our booked guests with an equipment/clothing packing list and fly pattern suggestions. Excellent pink salmon fishing is available during this time, and we only target them in the salt water bays and estuaries where they are fresh, bright, aggressive and full of energy. The pink salmon is the most overlooked sport fish in Alaska. Other species of salmon are also available, and we pursue Dolly Varden trout in the many rivers along the road system. Our current rate for the above trip is $895 per/person.
